Voting Against More Transgender Madness

As Americans head to the polls to choose their next leader, the mutilation of children in the name of a nefarious ideology should not be a partisan issue—it’s a moral one.

Thankfully, there are some whose allegiance to a political party does not supersede their desire to protect our most vulnerable. Some have left their particular party because they do not affirm the gender madness the party promotes. Gender ideology has seeped into all aspects of public life, infringing on free speech and eroding women’s rights while prompting changes in policies and pronouns everywhere. Perhaps the most maddening part about all this is the sterilization and mutilation of children.

Just last week another tragic example of the harms caused by gender affirming care surfaced. This one involved a pink-haired boy who thought he was a girl; at nine years old, he became the poster child for trans kids when he graced the cover of National Geographic back in 2017. The headline above Avery Jackson, clad head-to-toe in pink, read “Transgender Revolution” and the quote below him read, “The best thing about being a girl is now I don’t have to pretend to be a boy.”

The treatment protocols for gender affirming care say to let the child lead because, of course, all children know who they are. It turns out Avery wasn’t so sure after all. Now 17, he says he’s not a girl anymore—he’s non-binary.

Last week, the group Restore Childhood shared Avery’s story on X, which was reposted by Elon Musk himself, causing the story to go viral with 52 million views. Thankfully for Avery, he’s young enough that he only took puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, which causes sterility. He had not succumbed to castration yet. Oh, is that all?

Even if his boy parts are still intact, this outcome is tantamount to child abuse. Study after study shows that the overwhelming majority of children (from 70 to 98 percent) will desist in their gender dysphoria and feel comfortable in their bodies by adulthood if left alone. It’s time for the madness to stop.

As we do our civic duty, it’s important to remember that we are voting for a candidate, not a savior. With their respective shortcomings, neither candidate is qualified to be our savior. That position has been filled. God sent us one; His name is Jesus.

It’s up to us, the voters, to decide who will be our advocate when it comes to policies and governance as well as who will best advocate for the next generation. On the issue of children, it is no longer only the unborn who need protecting. Now more than ever, children outside the womb need it, too.

Though there are major differences in party platforms, there’s only one party that prioritizes the safeguarding of children from the evils of gender ideology. There’s one party that has worked tirelessly to stop the madness, introducing legislation to restrict or ban access to life-altering surgery and hormones for gender confused children in half the fifty states. There’s one party that has codified the definition of man and woman in six states because, with all the rhetoric, people are unclear what a woman is anymore. As a nation, we’ve become so afraid to offend that we’ve allowed feelings to override biological reality rather than speak the truth.

I will concede it’s not my place to tell anyone who they should vote for as that is a personal decision. I will tell you, however, there’s only one party that is doing its best to thwart the advancement of gender ideology in the name of protecting children and that is the party for me.

If you are not aware which party that is, perhaps you could do some research.
