Did you miss the Institute for Faith & Culture’s Kingdom Come conference this past weekend?
At a time when confusion reigns, believers from across the country gathered to recommit to the foundational truth that Christ is King and we are citizens of Heaven.
In the weeks ahead, we’ll be sharing more from the conference, including City of God podcast conversations and additional resources that continue to explore the issue of Christian citizenship in greater depth. But for now, here are a few standout moments that capture the heart of Kingdom Come 2026: The Christian Citizen.
Christian Citizenship & Public Witness
Sen. Josh Hawley (MO):
We owe this country an encounter with the living Jesus, and in order to give them that encounter, we have to have encountered him ourselves. May the Lord make us worthy of this hour of great significance in his kingdom. May the Lord make us worthy of the high calling to which he has called us. May the Lord make us hungry for what he might do in our lives and in our nation that through us his name might be glorified and his fame spread throughout all the earth.

Lucas Miles, Senior Director of TPUSA Faith:
This is a moment, this is a time, this is a season of absolute great discernment. It is harder than ever to know what is true, what is real… There is counterfeit messaging all around us, and much of it is coming with an absolute agenda to divide, to distort, to deconstruct the people of God. I am calling you, and I believe the Lord is calling us, and I believe the Word of God is calling us to unite as brothers and sisters in Christ around the primary truths of the gospel.

Troy Miller, President & CEO of National Religious Broadcasters:
As we see morality and religion slip in this country, we need to ask what kind of government is going to rise up to govern an immoral and irreligious people? History tells us it’s always an authoritarian form of government.

The Christian Foundation of the United States
Sen. Josh Hawley (MO):
This nation was not founded on some set of neutral, liberal principles. It was founded on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Dr. Peter Lillback, President of Westminster Theological Seminary:
Because God is, there is law… that includes the laws of nature and the laws of nature’s God.

The Gospel, Repentance & True Freedom
Os Guinness, author and speaker
The Hebrew word for “repentance” means a coming home—like the Prodigal Son. That’s what America needs this year, a coming home.

Jack Lamarr, 2026 National Student Essay Contest winner
True freedom is to have the decision to choose between your way or God—and choosing God.
(Read Lamarr’s winning essay here.)
Rosaria Butterfield, author and speaker
I am no longer gay and I am no longer an atheist… Jesus died so I can be set free from homosexuality.

Institutions of Christian Citizenship
Abraham Hamilton III, General Counsel and Public Policy Analyst for the American Family Association
The nuclear family was the first institution that God established. God established government, God established the New Testament church, [and] the family was the foundation of it all. And when the family is eroding, it’s inevitable that society and ultimately the church will be eroded as well.

David Bahnsen, Founder and CIO of The Bahnsen Group
Work is not just there to pay the bills; the work itself actually matters to God… The scripture never shies away from describing God as a worker.
