THE CHRISTIAN CITIZEN

Christians have always been called to live “in the world but not of the world.” Today, we live as a minority in the midst of a predominantly pagan culture. How do we seek shalom in our modern-day Babylon? How do we bear witness to the city of God in the midst of the city of man? Kingdom Come 2026 will explore what it means to be a faithful “Christian citizen” in every sphere of culture. The 21st-century Church needs men and women who exercise their religious beliefs in the public square and boldly declare that Christ is King.

rosaria butterfield

AUTHOR AND SPEAKER

Rosaria Butterfield, a former tenured professor of English and women’s studies at Syracuse University, converted to Christ in what she describes as a train wreck. Raised in a liberal Roman Catholic home, she earned her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and, after years as an LGBTQ+ activist and academic specializing in 19th-century literature and queer theory, came to faith in 1999 through the influence of a local Reformed Presbyterian pastor and his wife. Rosaria is now a pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother, and the author of The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert, Openness Unhindered, The Gospel Comes with a House Key, and Five Lies of Our Anti-Christian Age.

Living Faithfully in a Romans 1 World
Once an activist opposed to Christianity, Rosaria Butterfield now speaks powerfully about repentance, grace, and obedience in a world that celebrates sin. Her testimony challenges the Church to stand unashamed for Christ amid cultural hostility.

AARON RENN

WRITER AND CONSULTANT

Aaron M. Renn is a writer and consultant in Indianapolis and author of Life in the Negative World: Confronting Challenges in an Anti-Christian Culture. His work has appeared in The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and other leading publications. Renn is a Senior Fellow at American Reformer and formerly served at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research and Accenture.

Courageous Faith in a Post-Christian World

Bahnsen is the author of Crisis of Responsibility, There’s No Free Lunch: 250 Economic Truths, and Full-Time: Work and the Meaning of Life.
